Eagle Genomics

Eagle Genomics is innovating at the intersection of biology and data sciences to help drive the digital reinvention of the life sciences. Its award-winning AI-augmented knowledge discovery platform, e[datascientist]™, empowers scientists to exploit multi-dimensional data to help companies conduct science-led innovation for next-generation products.
The platform accelerates research and development into the understanding of human-microbiome interactions to support innovation workflows, including the generation of product claims. It provides the foundation for conversational learning between the data and the scientist - a unique interface that provides the basis for a radical shift in microbiome science-led innovation. By networking microbiome science, Eagle Genomics is also helping to transform disease models and translational science in biopharma and nutraceuticals.

About us

One area of life sciences innovation where Eagle Genomics has made an impact is understanding the role of the microbiome in health & wellness. The biopharma  industry, for example, is increasingly seeking to understand the holistic impact of individuals’ microbiomes on health, wellness as well as the efficacy of therapeutics. This includes the application of synbiotics, the ability of the gut microbiome to modulate the effects of immunotherapy and chemotherapy, the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, and understanding the role of the gut-brain axis in neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

As an example of its work with the biopharma industry, Eagle Genomics has supported GSK, in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh Department of Clinical Surgery, to seek better molecular biomarkers for acute pancreatitis. Eagle Genomics played an important role supporting an EU-funded translational medicine bench-to-bedside program to identify novel gene targets in vascular disease using a systems biology approach.

Eagle Genomics also works with global company Unilever. Unilever uses microbial genetic data as part of its consumer R&D strategy, understanding how microbes interact with the human body and applying this insight to products. Eagle Genomics has been applying its bioinformatics expertise and authority in the life sciences to analyze and understand Unilever’s existing approach. It also works with Cargill, one of the world’s largest food and agricultural companies in the world, helping to investigate the relationship between the microbiome and digestive and immune health.
